How to Make the Sock Pig Craft
What you need:
- pencil
- scissors
- pink socks
- felt material (2 shades of pink and white)
- needle
- thread
- Two black beads
- fiberfill
Step by Step Tutorial
The Body
Take a pink sock and fill it with white stuffing.
Cut off the excess sock so you don’t have any extra hanging off the pig.
Take the top of the sock and sew.
Sew it tight so none of the stuffing falls out.
The Snout
You are now going to draw a pink snout on the fabric.
The Nostrils
Go ahead and draw two circles on pink fabric for the nostrils.
You will also want to sew on the nostrils on the pig’s snout.
The Eyes
Next, draw two eyes on white fabric.
Take the black fabric and cut out two small black circles.
Sew the black circles onto the white circles to create the eyes.
The eyes should then be sewn onto the pig.
Next, you’ll sew on the pig’s snout.
The Ears
Now let’s create the pig’s ears. Draw an ear-like shape on the pink material.
Go ahead and cut out a corner fabric for the pig’s ear.
Sew the pig’s ear together.
Sew it closed.
You are going to do this twice.
Sew the ears onto the pig.
Make sure you do this with both ears.
The Feet
Now it’s time to create the pigs 4 feet.
Draw them on pink felt fabric and cut them out.
See how two back feet is a bit tinier?
Start sewing the feet onto the pig.
You should do this to all four feet.
The final product is this sock pig craft!
You can name them and start the day playing and exploring with your newly sewn-together best friend.
We think it looks adorable!
