You know that we love making Animal Crafts and all things crocodile related, of course (check out our Crocodile Paper Bag Puppet craft or make a Craft Stick Crocodile).
We’ll show you how to craft your crock out of TP and some paper, and it will look fabulous.
So let’s start and make a crocodile toilet paper roll craft that everyone will love.
How to Make Crocodile Toilet Paper Roll Craft
What you need:
- two green color papers
- one red color paper
- one white color paper
- scissors
- glue
- black liner
- white marker
- one toilet paper roll
- ruler (optional)
Step by Step Tutorial
Crocodile’s Body
Apply some glue vertically on the toilet paper roll and glue the green paper on the roll.
Wrap the green paper around the roll, seal it with glue, and then cut off the excess paper.
Press the remaining green paper inside the roll.
The Mouth
Take the second green paper and fold it in half and draw a crocodile’s mouth as shown in the picture.
Start drawing from the crease up.
Cut out the crocodile’s mouth using scissors.
Make one inward fold in the middle and two outer folds.
The folds should look like this.
The Jaw
Fold the white paper in half and trace the mouth using a black liner (the crease should be at the bottom). We are drawing the jaw now.
Draw some teeth around this jaw shape.
Cut out the jaw shape with the teeth using scissors (when you open the jaw, it should look like in the picture).
Outline the bottom jaw and the teeth with the black liner.
Cut through the middle using scissors.
Glue the teeth inside the mouth – the black marks should face upwards.
The head should look like his when looking from above.
Fold the teeth inwards.
The Tongue
Trace the mouth on a red color paper to make the tongue, and cut out the tongue part.
Now glue the tongue inside the mouth, onto the bottom of the jaw.
Next, apply some glue on the edges of the toilet paper roll, attach the head on the top of the paper roll, and press it with your fingers until the glue dries.
Your crocodile friend should look as in the picture.
The Eyes
Draw two eyes on the white paper and cut them out using scissors.
Glue the eyes on a green piece of paper. Make sure you leave space under the eyes.
Cut around the eyes to form the head.
Now fold the bottom part and apply some glue to it.
Glue the head above the mouth.
The Legs
Now use the green paper and fold it two times, so you have four pieces of paper stacked on top of each other.
Draw the crocodile’s leg on top of it.
Cut out this shape. Now you should have four legs from the stacked green papers.
Continue by folding the ends of the legs.
Cover the nails in white using the white marker and outline them with the black liner.
Glue the legs on the body as shown in the picture – the upper legs facing upwards, the back legs facing downwards.
Take a piece of green paper and make it the same width as the beginning of the crocodile’s mouth.
The Nostrils
Draw two nostrils, and make sure you leave some space at the bottom part of the paper.
Cut out the nostrils.
Fold the bottom part of the paper and apply some glue.
Glue the nostrils on top of the upper jaw.
The Skin
Take the white marker and decorate the crocodile’s body with vertical dashes.
Your toilet paper roll crocodile is all done!
