We made this Halloween project today, and we wanted to share it with you.
So, here it is – a ghost peeking out of a pumpkin. Boo!
We love this craft because it is super simple, super easy to make, and it is so much fun to assemble and play with it.
It doesn’t look spooky at all; we bet you will love it!
How to Make a Ghost in a Pumpkin Craft
What you need:
- orange cardstock
- black cardstock
- green cardstock
- white cardstock
- pencil
- black marker
- googly eyes
- scissors
- split pin
- glue
Step by Step Tutorial
Take the pencil and draw an “O” shape on the orange cardstock to form the pumpkin.
Draw “Banana” shapes on the left side and the right side of the “O” shape.
Add two more “banana” shapes.
Then add the last two “banana” shapes.
Outline it with the black marker.
Cut out the pumpkin.
Draw some triangle teeth in the middle part of the pumpkin as shown.
Take the scissors and cut the pumpkin in half.
Cut following the triangle teeth line.
Attach the pumpkin parts with a split pin (on the side), then split the ends of the pin, so the pumpkin parts stay together.
Draw two small triangles on the black cardstock, one tiny triangle, and a mouth with teeth. Cut them out.
Apply some glue on these parts and glue them on the pumpkin.
Draw a stem on the green cardstock.
Outline the stem with the black marker.
Cut the stem out and glue it on top of the pumpkin.
Draw a ghost shape on the white cardstock.
Outline the ghost shape with the black marker.
Cut out the ghost body using scissors. Glue the googly eyes on the ghost.
Draw the mouth with the black marker.
Apply some glue on the bottom part of the ghost and glue the ghost inside the pumpkin.
All done!
You can now open and close the pumpkin.
And a ghost will show. Isn’t this Halloween craft fun?
Optionally, you can glue your Jack’O Lantern onto a straw or a craft stick.
