You can make two chickens out of one paper plate, or, if you want a chunkier body, use one whole paper plate.

Paper plate crafts are so much fun to make! Paper plates are so versatile and your kids can make all kinds of fun creations with them.

How to Make the Paper Plate Chicken Craft
What You Need:
- pencil
- scissors
- glue stick
- paper plate (plus one piece of another paper plate)
- colored paper (red and yellow)
- black marker
- googly eye
Step by Step Tutorial
Grab a paper plate.
Fold the paper plate in half. You can cut it in half to make two chickens out of one paper plate, or glue the halves together for a chunkier chicken craft.
Cut out a triangular shape out of another paper plate or out of construction paper.
Shape up the tail with scissors.
Glue the tail to the body.
Next draw a combshape on red paper.
Have kids cut it out.
Then, glue onto the paper plate.
Cut out a triangle out of yellow paper and glue it onto the paper plate to make the beak.
Cut a tear shape out of the red paper and glue it under the beak.
Have kids stack two yellow papers and draw a chicken leg on the top.
Cut out the shape to get two legs and glue them to the bottom of the body.
Add the eyes. You can have the kids draw them, use googly eyes or googly eye stickers.
Then, draw the wing with a black marker.
All done!
