Materials Used

Step by Step Tutorial

Cut out a square of cardboard paper.

Then out a square the same size as the cardboard from the beige and blue cardboard paper.

Step 1

Step 3

On the blue square, draw 4 x 4 equal squares.

Then cut in each window at its bottom, top, and right side – so the window can open from the right to the left side.

Be careful not to cut out the whole square – it has to keep the left side untouched!

Step 4

Trace the cardboard onto the beige paper.

Step 5

Glue the beige sheet onto the cardboard.

Step 7

Place the blue sheet on top.

Step 8

Now draw in the position of the windows.

Step 9

Draw the memory pairs in the windows. You can have a lot of fun with this step.

Each window, you’ll want to have a match, so keep this in mind as you draw.

Step 10

This memory game has an example of fruits as the matching items, but you can draw whatever you like.

Step 11

Glue the blue cardboard paper.

Step 12

The square windows should be able to open.

Step 13

As you can see, when you open the little doors, your child can find the matching pairs!

Step 14

The result is a colorful array of artwork that you and your child will enjoy doing together.

Step 15

This DIY Memory Game will keep your child busy for a while.
