One, two, three count with me! This Counting Caterpillar craft makes for a fun counting activity – let your kids learn to count from 1 to 10 (or more) with the help of this buggy friend.
It’s an easy one to make and it’s fun both at home or in the classroom.

Caterpillars are super tiny and don’t make noise at all. We just love them.
They eat constantly so they can grow up and then they change into adorable butterflies and moths and fly away.
Awesome creatures, right?
And guess what?
Today we got this idea and made an adorable mathematics caterpillar craft for you.
It is super simple to assemble and it makes counting fun.

How to Make a Counting Caterpillar
What you need:
- color papers (cardstock)
- circle puncher
- split pins
- one pom pom
- two googly eyes
- glue
- marker
Let’s craft!
Step by Step Instructions
Punch 10 circles using the circle puncher.
Write a number from one to ten in each circle.
Use split pins to connect the circles – apply them through the front side …
… and secure them at the back.
Repeat with all of your circles.
Punch one more circle using the circle puncher.
Apply some glue on the googly eyes and glue them on.
Draw a nose and a mouth with a marker.
Attach the head to the rest of the circles using a split pin.
Put some glue on the pom-pom and put it on the head as hair.
All done!
Now you can start counting and playing with your caterpillar.
You can even shrink it, closing the circles, then expand it again.
