How to Make Swan Newspaper Art
What you need:
- printable templates (optional)
- old newspaper, or old book page
- pencil
- watercolors (blue, green, and orange)
- paintbrush
- black marker
Step by Step Tutorial
Prepare an old newspaper or magazine page and sketch a swan in the center of the paper with a pencil.
Outline it with a black marker.
All the way around.
Add an eye and a beak.
Outline the wing.
Then draw a waterline behind the swan.
Add a scalloped line for bushes in the background.
We recommend using watercolors that don’t completely cover the newspaper. Some craft paints (Crayola) are transparent enough as well, especially if you dilute them with water.
Paint the bottom part blue.
Then paint the bushes with green paint.
Paint the sky with blue and the swan’s beak with orange paint.
Allow the painting to dry completely.
