How to Make a Rainbow Windsock Paper Craft
What you need:
- paper roll
- glue stick
- green, blue, red, yellow, orange, purple papers
- same-colored crepe papers
- colored markers, pencil, scissors, yarn
Step by Step Tutorial
On a paper roll, cut a piece of green paper big enough to fit around the roll.
Glue it on.
Draw a smaller and smaller semicircle on red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple paper.
You can do this on orange paper.
Go ahead and try it on yellow paper.
Green also works wonders for this project.
Blue is such a fabulous color for making rainbow crafts!
What about purple? Also, a fabulous choice!
Go ahead and cut it out to make a rainbow, then glue them together.
You are going to start stacking color after color.
By the end, you’re going to have a beautiful rainbow.
Draw a face for the rainbow. You can be as creative as you want with this face.
Make sure you add a little a slight blush to the cheeks.
Cut two sides of the top of the reel.
Go ahead and tie a thread as a hook; tie a knot at the end.
Your base with the thread should look like in the picture.
Cut thin strips of crepe paper and glue them around the bottom of the roll. You can use as many colors as you like.
Pull the end of the crepe paper out with scissors to fluff it up a bit.
Do this with all the crepe color papers.
Start gluing one after the other.
Glue them one over the other a bit.
Glue the rainbow to the front of the roll.
You’re all done.
Your rainbow windsock looks fantastic.
You can hang your craft anywhere as a decoration.
It will be great for spring crafting.
