This interactive weather learning game will help kids master the most common weather words and improve their vocabulary.

We love different weather, but what we love most is seeing the colorful sky. Have kids use their favorite markers and color our Rainbow Coloring Pages.
These weather spinners are handy both in the classroom and at home. They’ll help you introduce new words describing different weather phenomena to kids.
There are three different spinners in the set available in full-color and black-and-white versions kids can color.
They will help improve their vocabulary with words such as sun (sunny), rain (rainy), fog (foggy), wind (windy), cloud (cloudy), snow (snowy), storm (stormy), tornado, rainbow, partly sunny, raindrop, snowflake, cold, hot, lightning bolt, and hail.
You can have kids match the spinners with the weather outside each day.
How to Make the Printable Weather Spinners
What you need:
- printable template
- heavier print paper
- scissors
- split pins (or something similar)
- skewer
Optional: coloring supplies if you will print the black and white version.
Step by Step Tutorial
Print out the templates on heavier print paper or cardstock (to make it last longer, you can laminate the spinners).
Cut out the spinner parts.
We need to poke two holes in the middle of each spinner part.
Poke a hole through the top part.
Now make a hole in the center of the bottom spinner part.
Put the two spinner parts on top of each other, and insert a split pin through both center holes.
Turn the spinner face-down.
Secure the split pin.
Your spinner is finished!
Repeat the steps for each of the three spinners and have kids learn about the weather!
