How to Make Pretty Dress Princess Craft

What you need

Step by Step Tutorial

Draw a princess outline with a large gown on cardstock. You can use plain cardstock or colored one. You can also paint it.

Cut out the princess outline.

We made ours on a two-colored cardstock, the black color really makes this craft stand out.

Cut long and wide strips of paper in the colors you want your princess gown to be in. We chose pink and purple for our princess gown.

You can either cut small stirps of papers and make each paper loop separately, or if you want to go the easier route, stick the ends of a wide paper strip together (along the longer side).

Wait for the glue to set and then cut the glued together strip of paper into small paper loops.

You will need a lot! But you can always do more later on if you run out of them when you build the dress.

Use more than one color to make the dress prettier.

Apply glue on the princess outline, starting at the bottom.

Start sticking on the paper loops one by one, starting with a single row at the bottom.

Work your way up, alternating the colors each row you make.

Once you are all the way up to the waist, wait for the glue to dry, and then flip over your princess craft and trim out any paper that is sticking over the outline.

You can also make the sweetheart neckline top (or any other) for the dress. Take a small piece of colored paper and place it behind the silhouette. Trace along the body shape.

Draw the neckline.

Cut it out and paste it on the princess silhouette.

A princess also needs a crown or a tiara. Cut one out out of yellow paper and stick it on the princess’s head.

All done, your pretty dress princess craft is ready for display.
