Making a paper chick includes just a few materials!
How to Make a Paper Roll Chick
What you need:
- toilet paper roll
- yellow paint
- scissors
- hot glue gun
- orange construction paper
- googly eyes
Step-by-Step Instructions
Gather all of the materials you’ll need to make this craft.
Paint the toilet paper roll yellow.
You will want to do this a few hours before you plan on making the craft so that it has time to dry!
Go ahead and mark the toilet paper roll where you need to cut.
The pieces that you cut are for the wings, head, and body of the chick.
You are going to glue the head onto the body of the chick.
Press firmly to make sure the chick’s head stays in place.
Next, you are going to use super glue to help glue the wings to the chick.
You will achieve this look of the wings by cutting the minor portion of the toilet paper roll in half.
Next, you are going to cut a heart shape out of orange construction paper.
You will then glue the whole chick to the heart-shaped feet.
You will also want to make a small beak with orange construction paper.
The process of adding the googly eyes can begin.
As you can see, the finished product is adorable.
Kids love making little chicks like this.
It helps with their fine motor skills, plus it gives you a chance to reuse and recycle materials.
