We love paper plate crafts, it’s amazing just how many different things you can make out of something as simple as a paper plate.

What we love most about this lion craft is its mane. It’s just so cool looking.

How to Make the Paper Plate Lion Craft
What You Need:
- paper plate
- paints
- scissors
- glue
- white paper
- paintbrush
- black marker
Step by Step Tutorial
You will need one paper plate to make the lion.
Have kids paint the inner circle of the paper plate yellow.
Paint he edge with orange paint.
Let the paint dry.
Have kids paint a triangle nose.
You can also have them cut an orange nose out of construction paper and glue it onto the paper plate if they find this easier.
And two circle cheeks, one on each side of the nose.
It’s time for the eyes.
Have kids cut out two white circles for eyes and glue them in place.
Next is drawing pupils and eyelashes with a black marker.
Have them cut out a lion’s snout shape and glue it below the triangle nose.
It’s time to draw the nose.
Then, have them draw playful whiskers, bringing their lion to life.
Make rounded cuts into the mane. You can easily achieve this by cutting out small triangles our of the mane part (the orange part) and then rounding out the edges.
