How to Make the Flamingo Handprint Art
What you need:
- white paper or cardstock
- pencil
- black marker
- yellow and two shades of pink crayons or markers
Step by Step Tutorial
Start with a white piece of paper.

Help kids trace their hand with a pencil to the center of the paper.

Flip the paper sideways and complete the shape to look neat and well-defined.

Outline the handprint using a black marker.

Extend the thumb by forming an ellipse for the flamingo’s head.
Add a small “sleepy” eye and a curved beak.

Draw two long, thin legs extending from the bottom of the body.

Inside the palm area, sketch a graceful wing.

Let kids color the flamingo with a bright pink shade.
We left the uncolored space at the bottom of the wing for a reason.

Use a lighter pink to add a soft touch to the wing.

Color the beak yellow to complete the look.

The tropical flamingo is ready to strut its stuff!

Your child’s flamingo is standing tall and looking fabulous!

Create a whole flock in different shades of pink for a fun, tropical vibe!
Kids can experiment with different leg positions to give their creations a playful and unique touch.

They can also mix and match various head shapes, eye expressions, and beak styles to make each unique!
