Dinosaur Silhouette Art

Calling all fans of dinosaurs! We have a fun and easy dinosaur silhouette art idea to share with you and your kids are going to love it.

What makes this dinosaur art lesson great is that it can be done with kids of all ages, even toddlers! You just need to adjust the “difficulty” of the project to match their skills.

How to Make the Dinosaur Silhouette Art

What you need:

• printable template (optional)
• pencil
• scissors
• glue stick
• white paper
• black paper
• acrylic paint (red, orange, yellow, black, and white)
• paintbrush

Step by Step Tutorial

Start to paint the top of the paper with red paint, then under it with orange paint.

Go ahead and continue with yellow.

Try to blend the colors where they meet.

You can add as much orange or yellow as you’d like.

You will then want to finish the bottom with black paint.

Try to blend the colors where they meet.

Paint a big circle for the moon with white paint.

Paint a tree with black color.

Add the detail to the tree, as much or as little as you’d like.

You can add birds to the background with the moon in the environment.

Cut out the silhouette.

Trace it on black paper.

Cut it out and glue the black dino on the picture.
