- crayon or marker (green, pink, yellow, and brown)

Step by Step Tutorial
Prepare a piece of white paper or cardstock. Have kids trace one of their hands on top of the paper with a pencil.

Finish outlining the handprint.

Draw two eyes, a mouth, and cheeks in the middle of the palm.

Draw a flower pot under the handprint.

Add spikes on the fingers to make the cactus look prickly.

Outline the whole image with a black marker.

Color the cactus green and the cheeks pink.

Add some details with a darker shade of green.

Color the pot in yellow and brown.

Cut out a yellow square from colored paper.

Fold the square to create a triangle.

Fold it again.

Repeat, and fold it once more to get a small triangle shape.

Hold the pointy part of the triangle and cut out a tear-shaped piece.

Unfold the triangle to reveal a flower shape.

Create two more flowers from pink and red paper, and glue them on top of the cactus.

Finished!
