Build a Vampire Puppet Template

Grab this ultra-fun printable build a vampire puppet template and let your kids create the coolest-looking vampire craft ever. Kids love making paper puppets, they are both fun to make and even more fun to play with. These are a great Halloween activity for kindergarten and even preschool as they are fairly easy to make.

Each vampire puppet will look unique as kids will both color them differently and assemble them a little bit differently. It’s still an easy no-fuss (and no-prep!) project that all kids will be able to complete. Perfect activity if you are throwing a classroom Halloween party.

We shared the build a witch puppet template a while ago and now it’s time to show you how to make a vampire puppet out of paper. There are so many things to love about Halloween puppets, they are inexpensive to make, they are a great classroom Halloween craft or an activity you can easily do at home with your kids, and most importantly, kids love to make them and play with them.

How to Assemble the Build a Vampire Puppet Template

What you need:

  • our printable template (comes with 5 Halloween monsters)
  • scissors
  • glue
  • coloring supplies

Step by Step Tutorial

Print the sheets. You can print the puppet base (head, ears and nose) on colored paper; we think puprle or light blue is perfect for making a vampire craft.

Have the kids color in the vampire’s hair, mouth, eyes and bow (we love a fancy looking vampire).

Cut out all the template parts.

Start by folding the puppet base. Fold along all the dashed lines.

Apply glue on the flaps (they are marked with the word glue).

Close up the “card” and gently press down for the glue to set.

It’s time to start building this fun vampire puppet. It’s easiest if you start with the hair. Glue it on top of the puppet (top is where the ends are closed).

Next comes the nose. There are dashed lines on the nose rectangle. Fold along those lines.

Apply glue on the flaps and stick the nose on the puppet base.

Add a pair of eyes as well as a pair of ears.

Last but not least, add the mouth with the fangs as well as a bow (the bow is optional).

This build a vampire puppet is now complete.

It’s time to play!
