How to a Make Valentine’s Day Number Matching Activity
What you need:
- Red
- Pink papers
- Clothespins
- Pencil
- Black marker
- Scissors
- Glue stick
Step-by-Step Tutorial
The materials for this craft are very simple! You can find most of these crafting materials at the craft store. Always buy extra, so you don’t have to keep going back for more!
Draw a big heart on red paper. This is the fun part for kids. Use a pencil, so that if you mess up, you can erase and try again!
Go ahead and cut it out. You can assist your child with this if need be.
Cut two circles of the pink paper this will be the blush.
Go ahead and make a face on the heart.
Glue the two small pink circles to the heart’s face.
Draw 10 small hearts.
Go ahead and cut out the hearts.
Write the numbers from 1 to 10 on the heart.
Here you can see that 1-10 is listed on the hearts. This will come in handy later.
Draw numbers on the heart as shown here.
You will write the numbers 1-10.
Glue the hearts to the clothespin.
As you can see, the numbers on the clothespins are designed to match the numbers on the heart.
This is an excellent way for kids to learn their numbers.
