Making a butterfly out of hearts is easy peasy, just follow our Butterfly Valentine’s Day Paper Craft tutorial and you will be making your own in no time.

Valentine’s day crafts sure are cute, and if made for friends (or secret crushes) can make great gifts or cards.
These butterflies can be used both as cards and gifts. Or just as a decoration to put on the wall of your home or the classroom.
How to Make Butterfly Valentine’s Day Paper Craft
- scissors
- red color paper
- white paper
- black cardstock
- googly eyes
- pencil
- glue
Let’s start!
Step by Step Instructions
Fold the red color paper in two and draw a big heart shape.
Cut out the heart shape using scissors. Now you have two big red hearts.
Fold the white paper two times as shown in the picture.
Draw a smaller heart shape with a pencil.
Cut out the heart shape.
Now you have four big white hearts.
Fold a piece of the red color paper two times.
Draw a third even smaller heart shape.
Cut out the heart shape using scissors.
Now you have four red hearts.
Fold a piece of the white color paper two times.
Draw the fourth-smallest heart shape.
Cut out the heart shape using scissors.
Now you have four white hearts.
Take a pair of each heart and glue them one over another as shown in the picture.
Take a pair of the rest of the hearts and glue them one over another.
The wings are done.
They should look like this.
Draw a butterfly’s body …
… and cut it out.
Apply some glue on the back of the body and attach the four wings on.
Add two googly eyes on the head.
Draw a tiny white mouth, cut it out using scissors, then place it under the eyes.
Draw two small hearts, one of them white, the other one red.
Cut these hearts out and glue them on the top of the head (on top of the vertical ‘tentacles’) as shown in the picture.
All done.
Our butterfly is ready to fly!
