How to Make Pattern Recognition Cardboard Activity
What you need:
- Cardboard
- Scissors
- Ruler
- Pencil
- Glue stick
- White paper
- Purple
- Orange
- Yellow
- Green and blue papers
- Pompoms
Step By Step Tutorial
Draw little circles on the purple, orange, yellow, green, and blue papers and cut them out.
You can cut out circles in different colors.
No matter what colors you have on hand, you can cut circles out.
Stick ten pieces in any order on white paper and cut them out.
This is where you can get creative with your patterns!
No matter what colors you have, you can create a fun pattern.
Draw around on the bottom of the cardboard.
Go ahead and cut it out. After that glue it on the other sheets of cardboard.
This will be the most important part of your craft.
Place the white sheet with your chosen color pattern on the top part of the piece of cardboard.
Use the pom poms to allow your child to recreate the pattern.
This can turn into a whole activity for the day if you’d like. Spend time being creative and patterns will become a favorite past time for your family.
