How to Make the Paper Plate Bee Craft

What You Need:

• pencil
• scissors
• glue stick
• paper plate
• color paper (light blue and pink)
• white paper
• black paper
• paint (yellow and black)
• paintbrush
• black marker

Step by Step Tutorial

Buzz into creativity with a simple paper plate.

Paint the whole paper plate yellow or challenge the kids to paint just the specific sections.

Have your little ones paint the top part yellow for the bee’s body

Then, have them paint a yellow strip on the middle of the white part of the paper plate for a stripey effect.

Finish the bee’s body by painting the two strips black.

Help kids cut out two black antennae from black paper and glue them behind the bee’s head for a buzz-worthy touch.

Have them assemble the eyes by cutting out and gluing together two black and two larger white circles, then attach them to the bee’s head.

Have kids cut out two tiny pink circles for those adorable cheeks and glue them in place.

Encourage your young ones to draw a smiling mouth with a black marker.

Your bee’s body and head are all set, but don’t worry – we’ll give it wings to fly soon!

To create wings, have kids place two sheets of light blue paper together and then draw a wing shape.

Help them cut out the shape to reveal two wings.

Then, glue them on each side of the bee’s body.
