How to Make the Paper Doily Christmas Tree Card
What you need:
- scissors
- glue
- white doily
- construction paper (brown and green)
- wooden craft stick
Step by Step Tutorial
Have your kids fold a piece of brown construction paper in half to create a card.
Next, take a sheet of green paper.
Take a white doily and flatten it out.
Cut out the lacey parts of the doilies.
Glue the first strip of doily onto the green paper.
Glue additional strips, leaving space between them.
We glued three doily edges, but you can add more if your base is larger.
Carefully cut the green paper with doily layers into a triangle shape resembling a Christmas tree.
The Christmas doily tree is almost ready.
Glue the finished doily tree onto the front of the brown card.
Cut off one side of a wooden craft stick or darker brown paper and stick it at the bottom of the tree to act as the trunk.
That’s it!
A simple and lovely doily Christmas tree card your kids can gift or display.
