How to Make the Newspaper Hat Craft
What you need:
- scissors
- old newspaper
Step by Step Tutorial
Start by having your little ones cut out a large rectangle from old newspapers or magazines and place it vertically.
Fold the upper part downward.
Make a nice crease.
With the fold at the top, help your kids fold the newspaper again from right to left.
Have kids press down for a neat crease.
Unfold the last folded part, and then have them fold the upper right corner to the center.
Repeat the step, folding the upper left corner to the center as well.
Take one layer from the bottom part and have your kids fold it upward.
Make a strong crease.
Now it’s time to flip everything face down!
Finally, have your kids fold the remaining bottom layer upward to complete the hat.
Voilà!
Your newspaper hat is all done.
Have your kids slide their hand into the hat to open it up and show off their eco-friendly fashion masterpiece!
