There are 4 different dog designs in this set and all of them come in both black and white as well as full color version.

You’ll find a dog that looks like a husky, one that looks like a labrador and two that can pass as many other breeds (as well as mutts) – all depending on colors.

Woof, woof! Once your kids make these puppets they will be barking in no time.

How to Make Dog Clothespin Puppets

What you need:

• our printable dog craft template
• heavier print paper
• clothespin
• scissors
• glue
• coloring supplies

Step by Step Tutorial

Print out our template. When it comes to puppets of any kind, we always recommend printing on heavier print paper / cardstock as this will make them more durable and kids will be able to play with them longer.

If you printed the full color version you can go straight to cutting. If you printed the BW version, first color in the dog puppets.

Once you have colored the dogs (and we know they are super pretty now), it’s time to cut the dog outlines.

Another cut is needed, cut along the designated mouth line.

Next apply glue on the clothespin gripping area…

… and stick the top part of the dog’s head on the top part of the clothespin…

…and the bottom part of the head along with the body to the bottom part of the clothespin.

All done!

Your dog clothespin puppets are ready to be played with.
