How to Assemble the Disguise a Turkey as a Cat Printable Template
What you need:
- our printable template (you can get the free printable at the end of the tutorial, or you can get the whole set of over 25 disguises)
- paper – regular print paper is OK, heavier print paper, cardstock is even better
- coloring supplies
- glue, scissors
Step by Step Tutorial
There are various printouts included and we’ll show you one way on how you can use the template.
Print the sheet that has the I am not a turkey, I am… Also, print the sheet where there’s just the body of the turkey as well as the sheet with cat disguise parts.
Have the kids color in the sheet with the “I am not a turkey, I am” to make it look like a regular turkey.
With the other printout, kids will need to think about how they want their disguise to look. We colored the tail in green to look like a bush and the body of the turkey orange as we’ll be making a tabby cat.
Have the kids color the disguise parts as well.
Cut out the disguise parts as well as the second turkey they colored.
Apply glue on the disguise parts and stick them on the turkey.
Once the disguise is done, take the first sheet you colored and fold it along the dashed line.
Apply glue at the center of the folded part.
Glue on the turkey in the cat disguise.
All done!
Now this clever turkey can take his or her cat disguise on and off at will.
You can also glue the writing paper on the craft itself for a great classroom display.
