How to Make the Bubble Wrap Pumpkins Painting
What you need:
- printable template (optional)
- pencil
- scissors
- glue
- construction paper (orange and black)
- bubble wrap
- craft paint (orange)
- paintbrush
Step by Step Tutorial
Start with a sheet of orange paper (you can also use white).
Ideally the bubble wrap should be about the same size as the paper, but you can work with smaller pieces as well.
Paint the bubble wrap with orange paint.
The paint should be “watery” to some extent, especially if you are working with younger kids so that it doesn’t dry out too quickly.
Flip the painted bubble wrap and press it down onto the orange paper to make the print.
Lift off the bubble wrap to reveal your the texture.
Let it dry completely.
Print out a pumpkin outline template, cut it out, and trace it on the bottom half.
You can also draw a pumpkin shape yourself.
Cut it out.
Use your cutout pumpkin to trace and cut another one from the leftover orange paper.
Now you’ve got twins!
Glue the first pumpkin on background paper (black paper looks best).
Then, stick the other one on the bottom.
Cut two triangle eyes from black paper and glue them on the first pumpkin.
Don’t forget a pointy nose and a scary mouth!
Do the same for the second pumpkin to make another Jack-o’-Lantern face.
You’re all done!
