This project is perfect for kids of all ages, and it’s a great way to teach them about snakes while encouraging their creativity and crafting skills.
A few fun materials are all you need to make your paper roll snake.
How to Make the Toilet Paper Roll Snake Craft
What you need:
- printable template (optional)
- paper roll
- pencil
- black marker
- glue stick
- scissors
- white paper
- color papers (yellow, green, and red)
Step by Step Tutorial
Cut out the template.
Draw the head and tail of the snake onto green paper, and then cut it out.
Draw the face on the yellow paper, and then cut it out.
On white paper, draw the eyes and then cut them out.
Draw the tongue on red paper.
Go ahead and cut it out.
Cut the green paper along a paper roll to get the right size.
Glue the green piece of paper on the paper roll.
Take the yellow paper part and glue it onto the green tube.
It’s time to start putting the face together.
Glue the eyes onto the snake.
Now you can draw on the nose and mouth.
A little red piece of paper will work just fine for the tongue.
Draw a fun design on the snake’s tail.
You can design the snake’s tail however you like.
Make sure everything glues together.
Go ahead and glue the snake’s tail to the back of the body.
You can continue the design up the tube.
Get creative with it!
The final look of the paper roll snake is this fun guy!
It can slither all day long.
You can make a whole bunch of them in different colors and patterns.
