Toilet Paper Roll Ballerina Craft

Let’s twist and twirl with this toilet paper roll ballerina craft. The inspiration for this one actually came from this lovely pirate toilet paper roll bunch and I really don’t know why but the first thing that came to mind was how cute would a ballerina look? How our mind works eh?

Toilet Paper Roll Ballerina Craft

I’ve made quite a few tulle tutu’s in the past and the no sew technique used in making those seemed spot on for this crafty project (although as this is a bit more precise work it’s not the best craft for younger kids – well you will have to lend them a helping hend).

What you’ll need;

What-You'll-Need

  • toilet paper roll
  • colors
  • tulle
  • rubber (cooking) band
  • colors and brush
  • scissors

Start by painting the toilet paper roll (pink or any other color really) and drawing on a face. You can cut the bottom part of the roll to make legs – I think it looks pretty cool that way but it’s totally optional.

Place the rubber band around the tp roll (I had to wrap it twice – you want it to be tight but not too tight). Cut the tulle into strips (mine were less than an inch wide). Make your no sew tutu by making “double knots” around the bands. Now if you already made a no sew tutu you know the drill – if you haven’t this easy to follow no sew tutu tutorial will be of great help. You don’t have to do 3 layers of tulle for this craft though.
