How to Make the Snail Handprint Art
What you need:
- white paper square (paper or cardstock)
- pencil
- black marker
- crayon or marker (orange, pink, and red)
Step by Step Tutorial
Prepare a square piece of white paper or cardstock and have kids stretch out their pinky and thumb, but keep the other fingers bent.
Place their hand onto the paper and trace it with a pencil.
Flip the paper 90 degrees so the thumb shape is pointing up and the pinky outline is at the bottom.
The thumb will be the snail’s head, and the pinky will be the snail’s back body part.
Draw the spiral of the snail’s shell.
Add eyes and a smile to the head.
Outline the entire snail with a black marker.
Use crayons or markers to fill in the body and mouth.
