We enjoy making different Animal Crafts for Kids (check out our Hatching Dinosaur Paper Craft or try to make a Paper Roll Peacock).
Sloths look like fun, cuddly creatures, but they are very intricate tree-dwelling mammals that are so fun to study.
Did you know sloths can swim too?

How to Make the Sloth on a Branch Craft
What you need:
- printable template
- color papers (light blue, two shades of brown, beige, gray, and green)
- scissors
- glue stick
- black marker
- branch
- pencil
Step by Step Tutorial
Cut out the template.
Trace the head, body, and two legs on brown paper, then cut out everything.
Now let’s trace the face on beige paper and then cut it out.
Draw the spot around the eye on brown paper, then cut it out.
Draw the paws on gray paper and then cut them out.
Glue the face on the head.
Add the little brown circles to the face of the sloth to accentuate the eyes.
Draw eyes, eyebrows, mouth, and nose with black marker.
Glue the paws on the legs.
Make sure you get all four paws.
Glue the head on the body.
Add glue to the back of the sloth to make sure it sticks to the branch.
Put glue on the stick too.
Glue the sloth on the branch.
Take the other two legs and glue them to the back of the stick.
This way, the sloth will look like it is resting on the branch.
Glue the whole branch with the sloth to the blue card.
Press down, so everything stays!
Draw six leaves on green paper.
Cut the leaves out and slightly fold them.
Go ahead and glue them to the branch.
The final product is the sloth on a tree branch with leaves and a blue background.
Creating a sloth during craft time has never been easier.
We love how it turned out.
You can place your sloth on a stand or display it on the wall.
