But as with all crafting sessions, there will be those odd bits and strips of paper that just call for another crafting project.
This Scrap Paper Christmas Tree Craft is perfect for just that – use up the scrap paper or even other materials – like ribbon and make a gorgeous little ornament.

How to Make a Scrap Paper Christmas Tree Craft
- jumbo craft stick
- leftover green paper
- leftover yellow or gold paper
- glue
- clear tape or duct tape
Step by Step Instructions
We love the natural color of the craft stick for this project, however you can also paint it brown. 
Make a loop with a bit of string
Secure it on the back of the craft stick with some tape – if you are making an ornament for hanging that is.
Craft stick is ready for hanging – now let’s turn this into a pretty ornament.
Cut thin strips out of a selection of green scrap papers (or in other colors).
Cut them in different sizes.
Apply glue on the craft stick.
Start sticking on the paper strips – the longest one at the bottom.
Work your way to the top, adding glue if necessary.
Cut a star shape out of yellow paper and stick it on top of your Scrap Paper Christmas Tree Craft.
All done! This one is ready for hanging.
Alternatively you can make it without the string for hanging – it will look great glued on your DIY Christmas card too.
