Let’s make a bunch of wobbling paper plate reindeer to help Santa with the delivery of all the Christmas gifts.
This fun paper plate craft is pretty simple to make, and what’s even more important it’s insanely fun even once completed.
Once your kids are done with making this one, due to it’s fun rocking nature, it can be used as a toy during the holidays. Joined in with the rocking paper plate Santa, snowman or even the penguin, there certainly is lots of fun to be had with these.

How to Make a Rocking Paper Plate Reindeer
What you need:
- paper plate – one paper plate will make two rocking reindeer
- brown paint
- large googly eyes
- red pom pom
- paint brush
- dark brown construction paper
- glue
- scissors
If you’re not a fan of googly eyes, wiggle eye stickers are a great alternative.
A black marker can be used too, if you want to draw mouth on your reindeer.

Paint the paper plate with brown paint.
Fold it in half to get the line to cut along.
Cut the paper plate in half.
Fold into a cone. Unfold and apply glue on one end.
Fold together into a cone again.
Hold together for the glue to set (I use a clothespin to hold it together so I can move onto next steps). Older kids can use a stapler.
Glue on two googly eyes and a red pom pom for the nose.
Cut out antlers out of brown construction paper.
Glue the antlers on your Rocking Paper Plate Reindeer.
It’s now ready to rock!
