Materials You need:
- paper roll
- black paint (acrylic or tempera paint is best)
- paintbrush (any work, but sponge brushes are great)
- black paper
- yellow paper
- white paper
- scissors
- black marker
- silver or white gel pen
How to Make the Black Cat Toilet Paper Roll Craft
Ready to make a Halloween toilet paper roll black cat craft? Let’s get started!
Start by painting your paper rolls black.
Set them aside until the paint is completely dry. We don’t want to smear the paint on fingers or furniture :):
Mistakes to avoid: do not dilute the paints with water too much. Paint that is to weet will soak the paper roll and it will make the drying time a lot longer than it needs to be.
When the paint is dry, gently flatten one end of the paper roll and pinch the edges to make the creases crispier. Then hold the tube in place on the desk, and with your fingers, press down on the outer edge (between two pinched corners) until it folds (it will fold in a curved way).
Repeat on the other side, and you’ll get two pointy ears.
Time to cut out a few things out of black paper. Cut a zig zag tail, like an angry cat would make. Cut for longer shapes for the paws. With a white or silver markers draw claws on theose paws.
Next, cut out cat eyes from yellow paper (green looks lovely too) and draw in details with a black marker.
Cut small strips of white paper for whiskers.
Glue on the tail on the back. Stick on two eyes.
Draw snout and mouth with a gel pen. Glue on paws and finally add whiskers (these can be a bit tricky; you can alternatively just draw them on).
