How to Make the Paper Plate Tree

What you need:

• printable template (optional)
• pencil
• scissors
• glue
• paper plate
• color paper (brown, pink, and green)
• blue acrylic paint
• paintbrush

Step by Step Tutorial

Cut out the inside of the paper plate.

This works best by cutting a slit down the paper plate and then cutting the rest of the middle out.

The paper plate edge will work as a frame on the paper plate craft.

Paint the outside of the paper plate’s edge blue.

Draw a tree the size of the one you can glue to the rim of the plate on brown paper.

You can be as creative as you’d like with this tree.

Cut out the tree shape.

Draw small flowers on pink paper.

Again, you can be as creative with the flowers as possible.

Go ahead and cut them out.

Now draw leaves on green paper.

Cut out the leaves.

Glue the tree to the back side of the paper plate.

Trim the excess.

Carefully glue the tree branches.

Now, you can start gluing the flowers onto the tree.

Next, you can glue the leaves onto the tree.

The finished craft will have leaves, flowers, and a big tree!
