This origami is great to for Valentine’s day; you can even make cards with them. Just fold the heart and glue it onto a card (make sure the card is in a different color for the best effect).

Once you’ve made your first heart, you’ll soon want to make a bunch more. It’s addictive.
How to Make the Origami Heart
What you need:
- origami or a square piece of paper (red or another color)
Step-by-Step Tutorial
Start with a sheet of square paper. If you are new to origami, we recommend you use origami or other two colored paper as this way it’s easier to see where you are at. But as this project is easy enough, regular paper will also do just fine.
Fold the paper in half.
Then unfold it and turn it face-down (colored part facing your working surface).
Fold in half again (colored side on the outside).
Unfold it again. Fold one half towards the middle.
Flip over (the part you folded should be facing you).
Fold the right bottom corner toward the center.
Repeat the step on the other side.
Flip over (the pointy part should be facing you). Fold the right side to the middle.
Repeat with the left side.
Now fold the upper right corner towards the center.
Do the same with the left one.
You now have a hexagon like shape in front of you. Carefully bend the top part.
And fold it into the “pocket” on the lower part of the hexagon.
Then, press firmly to make a strong crease.
Unfold the right top part gently.
Run your fingers across the folds.
Repeat on the left side.
Grap the top rightmost corner and fold it.
Repeat on the left side.
To complete the heart shape, fold the two topmost corners down a little.
All done!
Flip the heart around, and ta-da!
The heart origami is complete!
