Halloween is almost here, so what better time to make some spooky cute ghost handprint art with your kids or your class? This is one of the easiest keepsakes you can make, and it is a great addition to your list of Halloween crafts for kids.
You can go about making this keepsake in a couple of different ways! You can go with the classic painting method with wet paint or, as we did, have the kids make an outline of their hand on paper and cut it out. Either way, it is a cool and fast craft idea that you can easily hang on the fridge or use as a holiday decoration. Grab some paper and see how quickly you can put this keepsake together!

How to Make the Ghost Handprint Art
What you need:
- white paper
- black construction paper
- markers (black, pink, and white)
- scissors
- glue
If you decide to use paint instead of paper, I have a lovely guide explaining which paints work best for handprint art, depending on the materials you use.
Step by Step Tutorial
Have kids trace their hand on a white sheet of paper. You can also have them fold a white sheet of paper in half, trace one handprint, and cut it out to get two shapes.
Glue the two handprints onto a black sheet of paper, positioning them with the fingers pointing downward.
Use a black marker to draw eyes and a mouth on each ghost.
You can also use large googly eyes.
Use a pink marker to add rosy cheeks.
Write “Boo!” (or anything else you wish, like “Happy Halloween!”, “Spooky!”, or “EEK!”) on the black paper using a white chalk or acrylic marker to finish ghost handprint.
