How to Make the Frog Handprint Art
What you need:
- white paper (paper or cardstock)
- pencil
- glue
- scissors
- black marker
- red color paper
- green crayon or marker
Step by Step Tutorial
Grab a piece of cardstock or white paper and have kids trace their hand with a pencil.

Flip the paper 180 degrees so the fingers face down, then finish outlining the palm with the pencil.

Draw two big circles at the top of the palm for the frog’s eyes, making sure they cross into the handprint outline.

Draw a circle into each intersection (between the circle and the handprint). This makes the pupils. Also draw a curve for the smile.

Have the kids outline the pencil lines with a thick black marker. Color in the pupils.

Color the frog with a green color, leaving one part of the eyes white.

Add darker green spots.

Cut out a strip of red colored paper and glue one end to the frog’s mouth.

Roll the red strip to create a curly frog’s tongue.

All done!

Your frog is ready to hop!

Hang the frog on the wall, use it in a spring display, or make a whole pond full of handprint frogs in the classroom.

It’s a craft that will have everyone smiling.
