Need another flower craft idea for your little ones? We made a simple calla lily paper craft that is super quick to make and that kids in kindergarten and older will be able to make.
You can certainly modify this craft to make it preschooler friendly too, using larger circle punch and maybe drawing the flower stems, if cutting thin strips of papers is a task to difficult for them.
Flower crafts are all the rage in the spring months, they are a great activity to do when it’s pouring outside, which can be a thing at spring.
We love crafts that are quick, simple and nice looking so that they can double up as a gift to friends and family. This calla lily craft for example will make the most wonderful card for grandparents, or for mothers (hint, hint, mother’s day).
Calla lily certainly is an interesting flower… For one it isn’t actually a lily.
And it’s beautiful and nice looking… But kid of poisonous…
We don’t know about you but we are certainly more inclined to handle these paper calla lilies than the real ones :).

First it’s time to go a little bit punch crazy! If the punch is not to difficult to handle let the kids do all the punching, they certainly love doing that.
Each calla lily requires one white circle. We will be making 3 per card.
Cut thin strips of green paper.
This will be used to make the stem.
Cut thin strips of yellow paper.
This will be used to make the spadix (the yellow thingy pointing out of the flower).
Glue the yellow strips in the middle of the white circles.
Fold one half of the circle towards the middle and glue the bottom part together as shown on the image bellow.
Do the same with the other side. You should be seeing a triangle, calla lily like flower shape.
Rinse and repeat with all flowers.
Glue the green strip of paper on the blue background.
Glue the calla lily flower on the stem.
Repeat with the other 2 stems and flowers.
Cut grass out of green construction paper and glue it onto the card.
Your calla lily paper craft is all done!
