Start by printing the provided template for the 3D ladybug paper craft and have the kids color it.

Step 1

This template has a bunch of ladybugs as well as sweet flowes.

Step 2

Let your kids’ creativity bloom by coloring everything. They can leave the white circles on ladybugs’ bodies blank, as this is where they will glue the wings.

Step 3

You can color the frame as well.

Step 4

You can have the kids cut out the template along the outer edges or just leave the sheet as it is, both work out well in the end.

Step 5

You can print the wing circles on colored paper or have the kids color them in. Cut out the circles (you will need at least 3 per ladybug, but more is better).

Step 6

Have them fold each circle half along, creating a semi-circle shapes.

Press down firmly on the fold to make it crisp and defined. Repeat this step for all the circles.

Step 7

Now it’s time to assemble the ladybug’s body!

Take the folded circles and apply glue along one-half of each semi-circle. Press the glued halves of the circles together, forming a 3D dome shape.

Step 8

Continue gluing the circles together until the ladybug’s body is done.

Step 9

Have kids repeat this step with other colored ladybug circles.

Step 10

Glue the ladybugs onto the template.

Press down gently to secure the circles in place.

Step 11

All done!
