This clever idea combines Easter coloring pages with Easter crafts, the best of two worlds.

You can print the Egg outlines on colored paper or have the kids decorate them on their own before they add them to the coloring sheet.

How to Make the 3D Easter Chick Coloring Page

What you need:

• our printable template
• scissors
• glue
• color paper
• coloring supplies

Step by Step Tutorial

Print out the template for the 3D Easter chick coloring page. There are two sizes, one with the coloring page spanning across the whole page and one where the coloring part is printed on half the page.

Help your child carefully cut out all the parts from the template.

Let the kids color in the sheet (and, optionally, the eggs).

You will need at least 4 egg shapes to make one 3D easter egg, but your kids can use even more to make the eggs even fuller.

Either color the eggs, or use them as stencils to be traced on colored paper.

The Easter eggs are ready for the next step.

Fold each egg in half vertically along the center.

All four should be folded.

Apply glue to one-half of each egg and carefully glue the halves together.

Unfold the shape to form a 3D Easter egg.

Have kids glue the Easter eggs onto the chick template.

Repeat this process with blue-colored paper (or any color of your choice) to create another 3D Easter egg.
