There are many fun ways your kids can go about decorating their own snowman art.
How to Make the Toilet Paper Roll Snowman Stamping Art
What you need:
- scissors
- glue stick
- cardstock (light blue and brown)
- black marker
- paint (orange and white)
- paintbrush
- buttons (optional)
Step by Step Tutorial
Prepare the blue cardstock (or any color you prefer).
For stamping, kids will need one toilet paper roll.
Have kids paint the edge of one side of the toilet paper roll with white paint or prepare a tray of white paint and have the kids dip the toilet paper roll in.
Have kids press the painted edge of the toilet paper roll onto the blue cardstock to stamp three circles, stacking them on each other. Add more paint if necessary.
Draw a top hat onto the snowman using a black marker.
Draw two dots for the eyes and some dots to form a friendly smile for their snowman.
Have them paint the middle section of the snowman’s hat (or use a strip of construction paper).
Paint a cute carrot nose for their snowman (or use construction paper).
Have kids cut out two branch-like shapes from brown cardstock and glue them onto each side of the snowman’s body to create its arms.
Glue three buttons onto the snowman’s body to add a classic winter touch.
If you don’t have spare buttons at home, kids can draw them instead.
Using white paint, have children decorate the surrounding area with snowflakes. They can use a brush or their fingers.
