Shark week is way more fun when you have a couple of cool shark activities planned, and what’s cooler than a craft that’s ready to bite!

This pop up card is insanely easy to make, just print out the template, grab a sheet of red paper to go along with it, cut glue and you are ready to go (well coloring is included too if you opt for the black and white version).

How to Make a Shark Pop Up Card

What you need:

Step by Step Tutorial

Print out the template. We’ve got the black and white and full color version, both come in two sizes.

We’ll show you the smaller black and white version.

Print on cardstock Once printed, color the scene with your favorite coloring supplies.

Cut out the card.

Place the card on top of red paper and cut around it, to get a red rectangle the same size as the card.

Fold the red rectangle in half.

Also fold the card with the shark in half – along the dashed line. Let the picture be on the outside.

Cut along the zig zag line between the teeth, be careful and cut slowly.

There are diagonal lines on the shark’s body. Fold along those lines. Make the folds nice and crisp.

Open up the card. Push your fingers through the mouth hole, from the back and gently start closing the card, with the shark picture on the inside this time.

Slowly close it, still gently pushing the mouth and teeth with your fingers.

When the card is closed, run your hands over the folds a couple of times.

Glue the card with the image inside the folded red card.

Press down for the glue to set.

All done! Your shark pop up card is ready to bite.
