How to Make Printable Christmas Paper Rings for Kids

What you need:

  • our printable template
  • heavier print paper (preferred, although regular print paper is OK too)
  • scissors
  • coloring supplies if you are printing the black and white version.

Step by Step Instructions

Print out the templates.

We do recommend printing on heavier print paper / card stock as the rings will be more durable this way, but printing on regular print paper will work out OK too.

Also, as printers do have a mind of their own, different printers might print the rings with slightly different sizing, so testing out the printer and ring sizes is best if you are planning to make a larger (classroom) number of copies.

If you printed the black and white version of our template, first thing to do is to color in the rings.

You can use markers, crayons, glitter pens… Whichever coloring supply the kids feel most comfortable with.

Once colored, or if you printed the pre-colored version, cut out the rings.

There is a small dashed line next to the head (on both sides), that goes half way through the design.

Cut along that line too, to make the slits.

Twist the paper, to bring the two halves together and push one slit into the other.

The head should align nicely, if it does not, you might need to cut along the dashed line a bit more.

All done! You have made your Christmas paper ring.

Aren’t they the sweetest?

All that is left to do is to put the ring on your finger and proudly wear it.

Do make all of them, as wearing 4 instead of one is certainly more fun.
