Are you ready for the cutest Christmas craft of this season? With these printable Christmas cones craft templates you and your kids will be making the most adorable set of Christmas characters.
These Christmas cone characters can be used as decoration (add a string inside and hang them on your Christmas tree), or they can be used as paper toys for tons of hours of fun play.
We love how quick and easy these are to make, and you can either grab the black and white ones for your kids to color in all by themselves or simply print the pre-colored ones that just need a bit of cutting and gluing before they shine!
And what’s most important, you can grab a couple as a free printable.

How to Make the Printable Christmas Cones Craft
What you need:
- printable template
- scissors
- glue stick
- coloring supplies
We’re sharing the Christmas elf and the penguin one for free; you can grab them at the end of the tutorial.
Instructions
Print the Christmas cones craft templates – whether your kiddos prefer to color their own or dive straight into the full-colored version, the choice is theirs!
Every Christmas cone is assembled in the same simple way, so there is no need to stress. It’s a stress-free crafting zone!
Have the kids color and cut out the parts, then fold along the dashed line on the side, apply a little glue to the flap marked with “glue,” roll the ends together, and the festive cone is almost done!
Lastly, add those finishing touches that make each cone unique (hat, antlers, ears, and a star).
Check out All the Christmas Characters
There are 8 different Christmas characters available; all of the crafts come in black-and-white versions for kids to color, as well as pre-colored ones (with two different skin tones). On top of that, there are two sizes included: the smaller one with two cones per sheet of paper and a larger one with only one Christmas cone craft per sheet of paper.
All of your kid’s favorite Christmas characters are making their appearance; a Santa and a reindeer are a must.
A festive snowman and a polar bear are included too, so you can easily make these after Christmas too.
A penguin and a cute elf are making an appearance as well.
We made sure Mrs Santa was here as well, and a cute looking Christmas tree.
If you need last-minute Christmas decorations, the pre-colored ones will be super handy.
Just print and assemble.
It’s such a fun project for all ages.
Assembled Santa Claus and Mrs. Santa Cones
To create the jolly old Mr. Santa and Mrs. Santa, it’s all about that iconic red suit. After coloring and assembling the cones, add the finishing touch: a fluffy pom for their hats.
Polar Bear and Penguin Cones
These two happy characters will melt your kid’s hearts with their cuteness!
Put them together using the same method as the rest – attach the polar bear’s pom and ears to the bear with a bit of glue.
Reindeer, Snowman, and Elf Cones
Have kids make a cone out of reindeer, snowman, and elf! Then, attach the reindeer’s antlers and snowman and elf’s poms to their hats.
