How to Make the Potato Stamping Snowman Card
What you need:
- scissors
- potato
- knife
- brown construction paper
- craft paint (white, black, and orange)
- paintbrush
Step by Step Tutorial
Prepare a brown construction paper.

Have kids fold it in half to create a neat card.

Grab a larger potato.

Cut a large potato in half using a knife (adults only).
This will be the stamp for the snowman.

Have kids use a paintbrush and pant one half of the potato white.
This will be used for the snowman’s body.

Have them press it firmly onto the top part of the card (the front page of the card) to create the snowman’s head.

If needed, apply more paint to the potato half, then repeat for a second “snowball” below to make the snowman’s body.
Allow the stamped snowman to dry for a few minutes so the paint doesn’t smear.

Using orange craft paint, have them paint a small triangle nose to make the snowman’s carrot nose.

Give your kids a clean paintbrush and black craft paint and have them draw the eyes and mouth.

Finally, have kids draw the arms and let the card dry completely.

If your kids want, they can add more details like a hat, scarf, or snowflakes in the background using different colors.

That’s it!

A fun and easy potato stamping snowman craft your kids can proudly display.

Enjoy!
