How to Make a Penguin Pop Up Card with our Penguin Pop Up Card Template
What you need:
- our polar animals pop up card templates
- cardstock (white for printing the card on and red for the background)
- coloring supplies if your will use the black and white card template
Step by Step Tutorial
Print out the pop up card template – you can go with the black and white one that kids will have to color in first.
Or print the pre-colored one and you are ready to go!
Cut out the card – cut along the outer line (rectangle).
Fold in half, following the dashed line across the card – the design needs to be on the outside.
Take the scissors, and cut along the full line that runs across the penguin’s beak.
You’ll notice two diagonal dashed lines along the beak – fold along those lines.
Make the folds nice and crisp.
Open up the card.
Push your fingers inside the beak – from the back (the side without the design).
Slowly close up the card (fold it with the design on the inside).
Press down to make the fold nice and crisp.
Take the “background card” – it needs to be the same size or larger than the pop up card.
Apply glue on one half of the folded pop up card and stick it on the red card.
Apply glue on the other half of the card…
…and close the red card. Press down and wait for the glue to set.
All done! Your penguin pop up card is ready!
