Paper Rosette Chick – Easy Easter Paper Craft

If you are looking for an easy Easter paper craft to make with the kids, give this paper rosette chick craft a go. 

This is a great craft project for the classroom as these will make the coolest Easter display ever (and you can even combine them with bunnies and sheep).

This easy Easter craft idea for kids is a great project to have the kids work on their fine motor skills.

It’s really an easy one but it does require some patience and basic folding skills (and some precision). There are many different characters you can make in your Easter crafting session (we will be showing you how to make a few more) – like a bunny, a sheep, an adult chicken and you could even try an Easter egg.

How to make a Paper Rosette Chick Craft

What you need:

• a sheet of yellow paper
• orange paper
• white paper
• black marker
• glue
• scissors
• yarn

Step by Step Instructions

Fold the sheet of yellow paper in half.

Cut along the fold to get two identical rectangles.

Start with one sheet of paper. Fold it in half.

Bring one edge to the center – (fold).

Do the same with the other one.

Repeat – bring the edge to the center.

And again.

Repeat with the other side.

Unfold. You’ve made yourself nice, equally distributed fold lines.

Fold along the with of the paper – valley fold / mountain fold (accordion fold).

Repeat with the other sheet of paper.

Apply glue on the last fold of one of the papers, and glue the two papers together.

Fold together (push together) and tie a yarn around the middle.

Apply glue…

And glue together.

You should see a circle / paper rossette.

Cut beak and feet out of orange paper and two eyes (draw the details with a black marker).

Stick them on the yellow paper rosette.

All done your Paper Rosette Chick paper craft is complete.
