We just love making paper plate crafts. One pack of paper plates doesn’t cost much (it’s best if they don’t have any coating), so let’s have your kids make so many wonderful creations.
How to Make the Paper Plate Apple Craft
What You Need:
- paper plates
- craft paints (red or other apple worthy color)
- green and brown paper
- scissors
- paintbrush
- glue stick
Step by Step Tutorial
Grab one paper plate.
Start by painting the paper plate. Your kids can go with one color only (red, yellow, or green being the most popular choices here) or use a combination of more colors to make their apple. Paint the whole surface and let the paint dry.
Once dry, have the kids shape it as an apple. Have them cut off a rounded “V” shape from the top and the bottom.
Cut out a rectangle out of brown paper.
Trim the sides a little to make it more stem shaped.
Glue the stem to the top of the apple.
Next, have the kids cut the leaves out of green paper.
Have kids fold the green rectangle in half (this will make the leaf more dimensional).
Now cut out the (half) leaf shape.
Unfold, and the leaf is done.
Complete the paper plate apple by gluing the leaf next to the stem.
Enjoy making this easy fruit paper plate craft with your kids.
