Spread luck with this four leaf clover craft, or take down a leaf and you’ve got a cool little St. Patrick’s day craft to make with your kids.
4 leafed clovers are said to bring good luck. While finding one can prove to be quite the challenging task, making your own out of paper is easy peasy.
You could also use this craft as a Saint Patrick’s Day craft, just make it into a 3 leafed clover and you are good to go.
These would look amazing on a spring bulletin board too.
Ready to make a bunch
So if you love clovers as much as we do and are ready to craft with us, go grab your tools and follow the steps!
How to Make a Four Leaf Clover Craft
What you need:
- light green cardstock
- dark green cardstock
- circle puncher
Step by Step Instructions
Draw one big heart shape on the lighter green cardstock.
Trace this shape three more times.
Cut out the hearts.
On the darker green cardstock draw a smaller heart shape.
Trace this smaller heart shape three more times.
Cut out the shapes.
Now take the light green cardstock again and draw the third smallest heart shape.
Trace this heart shape three more times.
Then cut them out.
Make three clover leaves by gluing the hearts on top of each other arranging them by size as shown on the picture.
Punch one green circle using the circle puncher.
Put some glue on the circle and glue the four clover leaves on it.
The clover should look like this now.
Draw a freehand stem. Use darker green cardstock.
Cut out the stem using scissors.
Attach the stem to the leaves using glue.
All done here!
Now make a bunch of them so you can decorate your home or share them with your friends.
You can try using different color paper if you want to.
We really like how this project turned out.
How about you?
