How to Make a Folded Paper Dinosaur Craft

What you need:

  • pencil
  • scissors
  • glue
  • black construction paper
  • green paper, orange paper
  • black and white marker or googly eyes

Step by Step Tutorial

Let’s start by making the body of the dinosaur. You will need a sheet of green (or other color) paper. You can fold it from the bottom up (making valley and mountain folds) or you go about it in a different way (perfect for younger kids). Fold the sheet of paper in half.

Fold in half again.

And again.

It will be a little tricky, but fold it in half again.

Unfold. This way you get nice and evenly distributed folds.

Now fold them again, making valey and moutan folds along the fold lines you made.

Once folded, fold and pinch it on the middle.

Apply glue and glue together to make a paper fan for the dinosaur’s body.

Glue the green paper fan in the middle of the black construction paper (background paper, it can be in any color).

Draw a round shape with a long neck for the dinosaur head on the green paper.

Cut it out and glue it on one side of the paper fan body.

Also cut the tail and the legs and glue them on your stegosaur craft.

Next cut triangles (or proper shaped plates for the super enthusiastic dino lovers) out of orange paper and stick them along the edge of the paper fan.

Last but not least, draw an eye and mouth or use googly eyes to complete your craft.

All done! Your Folded Paper Dinosaur Craft is complete!
