While we really don’t like wasting food – any of it, even with best efforts there is sometimes that one opened pasta pack way behind in the closet that everyone seems to forget about. Rather than throwing the pasta away, why not use it in a creative way?
We found beautiful ways to use these spirals and make a lion, a sun, a sunflower, and a snake.
These are a great summer craft, especially as a project in the summer camp.
So, if you have some old macaroni spirals somewhere in the kitchen.
Go grab a handful and let’s start crafting.
Easy Pasta Crafts Ideas
What you need:
- spiral macaroni
- brush
- craft paints (blue, yellow, caramel, orange)
- color pencils (blue, yellow, brown, green)
- black liner
- glue
- googly eyes
- cardboard pieces
Step by Step Instructions
Pasta Lion Craft
To make the lion, we used 16 spirals.
We painted 8 of them in orange and the rest of them in caramel color.
Using the black liner, draw a lion face on the cardboard, color it with color pencils and attach the googly eyes on.
Put some glue on each of the spirals and glue them around the lion’s head.
Draw a lion’s body and color it with color pencils.
The lion is done.
Pasta Snake Craft
To make the snake, first, we painted 6 macaroni spirals in blue acrylic color.
Draw a snake’s head, color it with blue color pencil and put the googly eyes on.
Put some glue on the spirals and arrange them any way you want.
That would be the tail of the snake.
The snake is done.
Pasta Sunflower Craft
For the sunflower, we painted 16 spirals in yellow acrylic color.
Draw a sunflower shape, color it with color pencils as shown on the picture and attach the googly eyes on.
Put some glue on the spirals and arrange them around the sunflower’s head.
Done!
Pasta Sun Craft
For the sun we used 8 spirals painted in yellow acrylic color.
Draw a circle, color it with yellow color pencil and add the googly eyes on.
Put some glue on each of the spirals and place them around the circle head.
All done!
Make as many as you like.
Hope this project was fun for you to make.
